Wheelie bar pressure is applied it puts compression on the piston like a brake master cylinder does and there is a psi sensor on it to see just how hard it hits and for how long in a log. The universals just splice onto the wire from the harness. You could pull from donor but a new one is cheap. Must be mounted in flowing coolant near thermostat.
